Friday evenings in our house mean one thing: fries for dinner. A simple tradition, but one we all look forward to—especially with three hungry teenagers around. By the end of the week, our fridge is nearly empty, but luckily, our local Chinese restaurant just around the corner has us covered.
Instead of frozen fries, they make them fresh—from peeling to cutting, every batch is made with care. Seeing those 10 kg bags of potatoes delivered reminds me of how much work goes into something so simple, and how lucky we are to have access to such good food.
This still life is my way of capturing that little moment—our end-of-the-week ritual, the warmth of familiar flavors, and the joy found in everyday things.
