It began with a vase. I saw it, bought it, and fell in love immediately.
Then came the tulips from my own garden, the tompouce with orange cream from the bakery around the corner, and the royal asparagus from Van Empel. Orange, in colour, in spirit, in heart.
Orange on the Table is a still life about celebration, but also about what is close to home: the flowers you cut yourself, the pastry you pick up nearby, the season arriving quietly on the table.
A small Dutch ritual, seen through my Italian eyes. Arranged on my own table, with daylight coming through the windows of my living room. A composition of orange, softness, appetite, and joy.
